SOLUTIONS

One of the things in life that I am gung-ho about is SOLUTIONS! I am interested in dialogue with people who feel they have solutions to problems here in the United States. I am interested in seeing people discuss their solutions at the water cooler, at the dinner table, at parties, anywhere people gather.
I also think we have to promote what we believe it and not rail against what we DON'T agree with. Be FOR something, not AGAINST something. Be part of the solution not the negativity out there.
Here is a sampling of what I am FOR:
*Healthcare for everybody regardless of income (if Canada can do it...it CAN be done!)
*Food for every hungry person no matter what the cost to the government
*Proper housing for the homeless...enough for everybody
*A job for every person that wants to work that pays enough to survive on
*Emergency Planning that actually prepares the USA for crisis (like Hurricane Katrina) by using the tv and radio to coordinate donations and trucks and buses and timing and relieving the people in need immediately.
*When there is God forbid such an emergency crisis - I believe that the nation should quietly shut down temporarily in order to put every resource possible into helping the people in crisis. I believe if we closed down much of the hussle and bussle then people would go through their closets and donate more things, would go to the grocery store and buy a bag of food to donate, truck drivers would offer to drive their trucks to the crisis site with food and clothing donations etc etc. I am for the nation rallying behind the people in need and paying ATTENTION to them physically not just by watching the news stories.
*I am for more parks. I believe that if there are going to be this many houses and apartments built like this that the builders of those houses and apartments or the town should have to put in parks as well to balance out what has been lost in spaciousness and beauty.
*I am for campaign reform. I believe that each serious candidate towards the end should have to be taken to a big secure gym together and write an essay on what they would do for America of they were President in their own words. No speech writers. Just them and a sheet of paper all at once in a gym. I also believe that they should be given plenty of free tv time and radio time once they become a serious candidate so money cannot be an issue determining who wins the campaign. I also feel the vice persidential candidates should have to debate.
*I believe our current President ought to be held accountable legally for the lies that have been told and be given a lie detector test if need be.
I would love to see what you can add to this list folks!
